These are seriously amazing and those stones are gorgeous! I am crazy impressed by all the work that must have gone into these, because I would not have the patience even though I would wear those shoes as often as possible! (After all who doesn't need sparkly shoes?)  Grin Amazing though!

Science goggles!!! Is there no limit to their awesome power?!?

OMG those are AMAZING! Did you have to hand place each little rhinestone with tweezers and glue for every 7500 rhinestone?! Those are insanely awesome dude!
What kind of sealer do you use to keep them on? I'd be afraid i'd break the little rhinestones off in 5 mins lol! Thanks for sharing!!!

Those are so beautiful! Nice colors. I, too would be looking for a way to wear them every day.

Thanks Knitting_Chemistry, Sparkly Sharp Fabulous, and Madame Souza!

I did place each rhinestone with tweezers.  Took about 40 hours, but luckily, Star Trek: DS9 is up on Netflix, so that helped pass the time!  They aren't sealed, because that would dull the rhinestones.  But I did use GemTac, a rhinestone glue, as my adhesive.  It's pretty strong.  I may lose a rhinestone here and there, but nothing excessive.  And I kick the back of my heels when I walk!

Those shoes are gorgeous. I actually want to do a pair of flats.

I saw these flats at a Steve Madden store and I fell in love but they're close to $100. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jQ7AAn54txc/TkBBxheCWMI/AAAAAAAAAH4/2tLDFVSycfA/s320/Picture+4.png

Do you think it's possible to get a similar effect for half or more than half the price?

sparksfly, maybe, but you'd be cutting it close.  If you already have the flats, and use plain crystal rhinestones with that sort of spacing, maybe.  Better chance if you use Preciosia rhinestones instead of Swarovski would also help keep the costs down.  Rhinestones aren't cheap.  Hope that helps!

Wow! These are great! how many crystals did you end up using? what kind of glue did you use? I have put tons of sequiens on plastic Mardi Gras Masks so I know this was a lot of work. How do they stand up to the elements?

Thanks BlueCherryFaerie, I Sew Cute, and bennysmom!

I ended up using around 7000-7500 rhinestones for both the shoes, using GemTac glue.  They stand up pretty well.  I live in Seattle, so I worried about the rain.  They are okay as long as I don't go slogging through muddle puddles.  And I don't know many people who would slog through puddles in heels ;-)  I'd also worry about snow, but again, not really good heel weather!
