Oh, dear -- I was 14 in 1987, and I don't know what Popples are!  Huh

I actually really like the re-spun stuff, too, Jexx.  Makes me think of cozy ragg wool socks.

Bella, your singles must have been microscopic!  I'll bet you could do a really pretty, delicate crocheted necklace with that.  I'm imagining something with small flower motifs and maybe a bead in the center of each flower.

Hubby and I got married in 1987! ::feels old now::  Cheesy
Belladune, the lace weight is amazing!
Jexx, I love both of your yarns. Soft and squishy goodness! The Ester egg dye one also makes me think of the later eighties. Since I was all grown up already, I don't know about Popples, but I remember the Hypercolor tie-dyed shirts that changed color with body heat...similar color palette. They were a HUGE fad, at least where I lived in SOCal at the time. Smiley

i loooove all the pretty yarns! wouldn't know much about '87 as i was born in '89, but it DOES remind me a lot of the hand-me downs i got from older siblings, only in a much prettier way! lol. Smiley so excited for my first fiber friday (even though its not friday for me anymore) these are my first attempts, and i'm finding its not as easy as it looks. still fun though!

first yarn ever. kinda squishy and thick and thin in spots, but i like it.

second yarn, much more consistent. yay for getting better! sorry about the poor pictures, hopefully there will be better lighting available next time. Tongue
