I love to see your projects but am always afraid to show mine...
But not today! I'm quite pleased with these! Grin

My colleague asked me to make her a journal after peaking at my bag and finding a sketchbook that I made.

I got carried away and made 6 in a row! But I'm not going to bore you showing all of them.

The cover is made with light cardboard covered with cotton and lined with colorful paper. The inside is just regular A4 paper, cut in half. And the binding is made with crochet thread.

What do you guys think? I'm thinking of start selling them... Any criticism is appreciated! Thanks for looking!

A group shot, cause they like to stay together!

Dinosaurs! Wee!

The one she chose is not there. I forgot to take a picture before sending her... Sad

ps: I forgot to link the tutorial I used for the binding!

I just repeated the process to make a thicker book.

I love these, they are so colorful. The dinosaur one is my favorite.

I'm a big notebook junky and have wanted to try making my own more than once, after seeing these I might finally do it Cheesy

Can I ask how you ended yours? In the tutorial I saw that they had string left but you don't so I was just wondering.

These are so very pretty!  I really like red one - it looks like it wants to have fun.  Grin
I think you could sell these as they look very well made.

Neat! My fave is the red one. The contrasting thread is such a great touch. Thanks for letting us see and for the link!

Thanks for the comments!

@Cloverlilly: I finished with 3 knots and glue, and after the glue dried I cut off the thread. You should try it! After the first time it got really easy.

We're on craftster because we love to create. Why should we settle for what we currently are?

These are beautiful and thank you so much for the link to the tutorial!  The contrasting thread and cutting off the threads are a great version.
