I thrifted these fabric sandals thinking I would just paint them. But I decided I NEEDED denim sandals.

I decided to use large iron-on denim patches so I could get a clean edge without any fraying. It was a bit of a pain to iron on the patches but using my small travel iron and a potholder made it much easier. Using the heat also stretched them a bit, which my extra wide feet appreciated.

Very nice job!  I actually liked them before (I'm a sucker for sad sack shoes), but the denim rocks.  Smiley

cool! i wish i could find thrift shoes to alter....but i have enough time finding shoes in the first place (damn these big feet) lol. and your assistants are adorable
