A friend of mine's birthday is this Friday.  She loves sock monkeys!  She has several already that people have purchased for her, but I thought it would be nice to try and make her one from scratch.  I followed this tutorial which I'd found on Pinterest:  http://web-goddess.org/writing/tutorial/Image0.html  I love Pinterest for always leading me to neat tutorials and ideas.

Anyway, here is the monkey I made her.  I never realized how much hand stitching went into those little suckers.  Needless to say, that's not one of my strengths, but I think he came out alright.
