Had some Halloween fabric around so I made some skirts
(phone pics are not the best)

Hello Kitty fabric, high waisted encased elastic shirred.

Candy Corn fabric, high waisted elastic shirred with ruffle.
I'm thinking about adding straps to this one.

Thanks for looking!

Thank you! I winged the shirring on these, I have never done it before.  I think they turned out pretty good, but I might have to give it more elastic on the next ones I make.

I would love to wear that candycorn skirt.  And it goes perfect with that blouse and skelly-hand.

Scholars and artists...differ most importantly in the way their knowledge is come by.  Scholars get theirs with conscientious thoroughness along projected lines of logic; poets...stick to nothing deliberately, but let what will stick to them like burrs where they walk in the fields.

Smiley  I will take some pictures of my DD wearing both the skirts.  The skelly hand is a hair clip I clipped on the shirt for the pic, but it actually looks good as a shirt clip.

Right now I'm working on a dress with elastic shirring on the back, I will post that on a separate thread when I'm done.
I had bought a bunch of halloween fabric a long time ago and I figured I'd make something now since we are on fall break.

these are great!!  i was JUST thinking that i need more outfits like this...that almost classic 1940-50's ladies look: fitted shirt, nice puffy skirt. anyway,  i love the hello kitty fabric and the wide waist band.  but i also REALLY love the shirred fabric on the candy corn skirt. gives it a little something extra feminine!!    i may have to borrow that idea..... great job!
