Custer Fair and other craft fairs in Chicago/suburbs

Has anyone ever been to the Custer Fair in Evanston? I've been trying to attend more craft fairs this summer, but most of them end up being dinky little art fairs with not many crafted items. I've never been to this one, so I'll probably check it out this weekend. Any recs for other real craft fairs coming up in the summer? I'm too impatient to wait for Renegade...

the custer street fair is totally awesome.  It's got tons of booths, many of them by local artists) with lots of things I want to buy (lots of jewelry) the food is good and the music is usually good too.  If you get bored you can wander over to two thrift stores, the enormous and famous Vogue Fabrics, and I highly recommend the Greek place just north of Main on Chicago (Cross Rhodes).  Take the purple line to the Main stop and enjoy.
