I used this cupboard before to make a shrine but it held some bad memories and I wasn't happy with it all. I decided to scrap it and create something that reflects where I am today. I really struggled with the interior of the box and took it apart a few times before this result.

I'm really happy with it now. It tugs at my heart.

The outside...

Whoa, that is absolutely stunning. It has such depth. It's water, sky, and evening all at once.

Stunning, absolutely stunning.  The doors make me think of the poem, "The Raven", by Edgar Allen Poe.  Maybe I'm just in a seriously Halloween frame of mind....  Smiley

Where you are today must be pretty close to where I am, because that just makes my heart sing. Beautiful!

Gorgeous. I love the beautiful turquoise color you chose for the interior, and as always, your eye for detail pays off.

I am in absolute awe.  I could only hope to make a shrine like that.  I have to ask - where did you get/find that cupboard?  I am always on the look out for objects that could be converted into a shrine and I am in love with the shape/style of your cupboard!

I think I got it at Value Village. Good items to look at spice racks, jewelry boxes and cupboards for those little souvenir spoons. The more rinky dink the second had shop the better Smiley

Gorgeous work, definitely something to be proud of. Your painting has a real delicacy to it and the assemblage inside really works!

I'm not surprised that I love this piece.  I really love all your work! Mandykaye is right, it is totally magical!  Thanks again for sharing.  I may have to try something like this one day.
