i dont really like categorizing these photos as urban since nyc is my home.. hearing people calling it "the city" in college upstate during my first year in college sorta bugged me.. anyways, that doesnt have anything to do with anything. here we go. comments much appreciated!

last one of the bunch is derived from a project dealing w/ an interpretation of songs. college really brought on some emotions that werent the happiest. ha. it's funny looking at them now. all were shot w/ a manual slr and bw film.

enjoy!

I love the contrast on all of them and especially like the fish eye effect on the third one.  As much as I like using a digital camera, there is something to be said for a manual camera.  Did you process and print them yourself?

these were for my bw photo class so yup, i processed and printed them myself. i love working in the darkroom. there's something about the paper you print it on that doesnt compare when it comes to digital photography. but both has its own perks.

thanks for the feedback Smiley

I love the fish eye one. the effect that the fish eye gives really caputures the subject well.

yeah digital is just not the same as darkroom work.

ok... in that first photo, there is a wheatpaste of a little girl's face with a bloody nose...

now, my ex-boyfriend has a shirt with that exact same face on it, but he made the shirt... and i know damn well he's never wheatpasted, nor has he been to nyc...

i always liked when he wore the shirt because i thought he designed it. he made it while we were dating because he knows its what i like to do.

now i am extremely disappointed. fjdhsfjgasdjhf

anyway.
i really like the last photo. a lot.
