this is what my couch in the kids living room looked like earlier today. it's looked like this for a while. hideous, yes? the fabric on the cushions was coming off for a while so i just stuck a sheet over it... I didn't want to deal. and of course the kids don't care anyway.. well, their 19 and 20, why would they? lol!

well, i finally cared enough and decided to make a cover. i am no great seamstress by any stretch of the imagination so i decided to go about it the quick and easy way.. a big throw cover! now, given the fact the kids tend to spill and what not, i didn't want to go out and spend a lot of money on fabric so i used my favorite trick lately-sheets. i bought 3 flat twin sheets (walmart-$5/each) and sewed 2 of them together and got this:

not so great yet. see the sides still? well, i didn't want to use the entire third sheet, so i cut off two pieces, so i still have most of the sheet to make a cover for a chair, too, but was able to make the cover look better.. at least for me it does.. and like i said, the kids don't care.

It's awesome - good job - I like the sheets you picked - very cool!  Easy to wash up too.   Cheesy
