Miao inspire duck tape traditional ceremony hat...

Hi. I love the miao hats and thought with the shiny tape duck it would be perfect for it. I have been teaching myself how to do Japanese Kanzashi fabric flowers and thought duck tape would be a good medium for it...  I here the link to how the original hats should look like...

Thanks for the comments...It was a lot of cutting and folding triangles after triangles...
My sis thinks the hat is pretty cool; she said I should think about doing a complete Miao outfit in duck tape and the necklace to go along with the hat...lol, I told her I will think about it...

that's so amazing!  i'm thinking it's gotta be more comfortable than the real metal kind, as well as cheaper!  i saw that one that you linked to costs nearly $1000 and i understand that due to the material and the workmanship. 

i made a mardi-gras mask lined with duct tape once and it made it heavy and uncomfortable compared to paper... but compared to metal and without it having to be right next to your skin, i think it must be pretty easy to wear?

anyway congratulations on the great idea and execution.  cultural fusion FTW!
