The Jewish holiday of Sukkot is starting on Wednesday, and usually I make gifts for people who have us for meals. This year I decided to make bunting for each persons sukkah with their name on it.

They had to be weather proof so that gave me the chance to use up some of the vinyl in my fabric stash. YEAH for stash busting!

Even got to use my pinking shears for this project. These were easy to do, and I am pleased with how they turned out.

C&C always welcome. Smiley

What a clever idea to make buntings out of vinyl!  They turned out very personalized for each family and cute to hang out all year!

Have had the vinyl for about 3 or 4 years. It feels good to be able to use it. Smiley

When I make outdoor party banners I use Tyvek that I paint with acrylic paints.  The Tyvek is weatherproof and easy to work with.  I use Tyvek envelopes from an office supply store and cut them into pennant shapes.   My grandson has had his birthday banner for almost 5 years now and it still looks like new even after being rained on and exposed to the elements.  It is a great no sew alternative for an outdoor banner.
