Harry Potter wands made out of paper

I used this tutorial to make a bunch of wands using a sheet of paper, a glue gun, and paint. http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-an-awesome-Harry-Potter-wand-from-a-sheet-of-/ Since my swap partner has received her package, I can now post pictures.



In progress pictures:

I used painter's tape to hold the paper together while the glue dried.


After getting decorated with a hot glue gun & a base coat of white paint:

I used a gold paint pen to do the accents & sealed them all with decoupage.

ive been looking for a good (aka easy) way to make a wand. thanks for putting up the link

I saw the instructable on these as well, and want to give them a shot myself.  I like how your's turned out much better than the instructables!  You mentioned you used glue to hold the paper into a tube.  I remember reading double sided tape in the instructable.  Did you happen to try them both, or was glue just simpler?

I've never heard about doing this out of paper!! That's amazing!! I know what I'm doing on my next day off!!

I didn't have any double-sided tape, so I just used glue.

I saw these on the swap and thought they were fantastic! Im gonna have to give them a go! Though im not sure mine would turn out as great as the ones you've made
