I made 2 accordion books is for my bookbinding class. Both have removable spine pieces.

Each page has a stamp shaped cutout window, some sandwiched a piece of tissue paper and some had an even smaller cutout shape.

This one has alternating black cardstock and scrapbook cardstock.

I drew some flowers in chalk and then sprayed it with workable fixitif which makes the image permanent and not smeary.

Then I added pieces of a paper doily and other random crap I had, that's really the key to mixed media, keep adding to it.

The only glueing happed on the accordian pages, each page is folded in half rather than what I'd always though, a long piece of paper folded up. Nope.

I cut up pages about the size of a postcard and faced them outward. This is how they are double sided.

The second one was made with yellow cardstock and scrapbook cardstock.

It was originally going to be a book of Monty Python beasties but I had a hard time finding them. Sure we all know about the Killer Rabbit and Dead Parrot but the rest are pretty unknown.

The animals were named and then on the scrapbook pages where it wouldn't be visible to write I added images of the Silly Walks and then lines from the tv show.

Not pictured: Librarian Gorilla and Llamas.

The covers and spine pieces have no glue, just folded papers.

C&C are welcome!

Woot for Monty Python.  And the bee (in the first book).  I'm a big fan of the bee!
