My mom is getting ready to retire in a few months (if they actually let her go) and is planning on doing some traveling with her new freedom.  We're both proponents of using plane time for sleeping, but she hasn't flown as many international (i.e. loooooong) flights so doesn't have all the accoutrements.

Inside are 3 small containers for sleep aids, pain relievers and ear plugs (included); a sleep mask (made by me); an inflatable neck pillow (small and light-weight) and a pair of polar fleece socks (made by me).

The elastic straps that hold all the parts in place.

The exterior, opened out flat.  This shot is probably the most accurate for color of the croc embossed vinyl [swooooooon]

A little tag made from iron-on transfer on twill tape.

The fun, zebra stripe side of the sleep mask and the pill/earplug containers.

Socks with the neck pillow.

I used no fewer than 3 layers of lint roller before I wrapped it up for Christmas!  Wink  Flannel and fleece and dogs are so shed-y!

Love design - so simple, yet so gorgeous. And the colour is simply amazing!

It's a great idea, and because you made it you put your "stamp" on it. My mum would love one of these (even though she doesn't do much flying).

Thanks!  If I were to do it again, I would try a stiffener between the exterior vinyl and the liner so the top and bottom were flatter/neater.  I DO love that color!

Thank you!  The tag really did help her figure out what she was looking at. Wink

Thanks!  I bought it at least a year ago, not knowing what I'd make of it.  There's more left to make something for me, too!  I got it at my local giant fabric store, Fabric Depot.  If you're not near Portland, Oregon, USA they do have a website: fabricdepot.com (I think).
