Those patchwork spats are inspired! Smiley

Thanks! *blush* I patchworked the patchwork myself.

those realy are great spats did you use a pattern? i attempted some today and they... well lets say got walked all over Smiley

It looks like she used this pattern http://theindigophial.blogspot.com/2009/02/spats-tutorial.html but obviously made patchwork first.  Wink I would imagine they are quite tricky to make with all the extra seams in patchwork. Not that I kniw how tricky they are to make or anything. Wink

Yep, that's the tutorial I used! The seams in the patchwork didn't actually cause any problems when I put them together. What did cause me problems was her idea of seam allowances - they weren't included in the print-out pattern, so I had to add them on with extra paper; and she recommended 1 cm (I substituted 1/2 inch), which she said should be doubled in some places, making a 1 inch seam allowance, which is ridiculous and I didn't encounter any actual reason for it.

Anyway.

The best part is that she went way over in saying how much fabric you need, so I made too much patchwork, and thus have enough to make myself a pair!

I really hope it does show up soon, but it it doesn't by probably tomorrow it looks like I may need another angel... ugh, why does the post office (and yes, this is internationally, since it never touched the USPS) have to suck sometimes? I really do understand that so much goes through every day that its surprising more things don't get lost... but why is it always packages? And awesome ones at that...

this is why I no longer wish to buy or swap internationally.  I've been waiting 3 months for a package from Singapore.  actually, make that 2 packages.  they're gone.  Cry Cry Cry

Sad everything is so pretty...
I don't understand how this could happen, it's the first time I don't get a package..
it happened that a package of mine was lost (in fact since then I send with tracked mail, I don't trust them anymore)..
But this really sucks, so much effort is put inside, I can see it... and the feathers!

I really hope this arrives tomorrow or monday..  Cry

I'm so sorry they seem to have lost it. I am in a major sulk right now due to this.

The top was much cooler on and sliced all over the back. The sleeves were fingerless gloves and also looked much better on and had lace woven in. The wrap skirt was different on all three pieces with 12 different fabrics in. The spats took me ages and I was really pleased with them and the funky buttons it took me ages to choose.
