I ordered myself the incredibly amazing Crypt Club pattern from Prairie Moon.  I didn't take into account the size of the cloth.  I only thought about the incredible gray color called, Thunderstorm.  Seriously, it is gorgeous.  This is how I find myself on verge of tears of terror as I contemplate starting.  But I am also excited.

Anyone her conquered Belfast Linen?

I have that exact pattern and was wondering what kind of fabric to get for it. What size is the cloth?

It is Belfast Linen in the color Thunderstorm.  It is 32 count.  I ordered mine from Silver Needlehttp://www.thesilverneedle.net/prairiemoon.php?Reloaded=True&osCsid=7bc559ea5399ded5ebff3ca845d7f439

The ladies there were nice enough to put everything together for me and ship it.  I even sprung for the fancy silk thread.

We should do a SAL to keep my lazy ass moving on this project.

I'd love to see a close-up, both from the work and the linen. This looks amazing!

I have yet to start.  The pic is the one provided by Prairie Moon.  I wish I was that good.

I have stitched on Linen before and really enjoyed it. Once the first handful of stitches are in, it is a breeze. Just relax and enjoy it. Awesome design and fabric, btw.

If you can- try gridding.  It makes all of the difference in the world when it comes to higher count linens.  Smiley

Good luck, I love those patterns!

It is natural for stitches to be uneven in Belfast Linen but mine are another story.  CLEARLY, this is operator, or rather, stitcher error.  I am sucking wind big time.  What has me supremely bummed out that is that I don't really have anyone here to give me a quick tutorial.  I am on my own in Costa Rica.

I really really really want to do this.  But I feel so nervous after so many false starts and crappy stitches.

I am on the hunt for a good tutorial with illustrations.  And maybe a little encouragement.  I am loving doing needlecrafts again but this has really stopped me in my tracks.
