Hey!  Cool

I started making an altered book last night thinking I'd do it all myself but I came to realize it would be so cool to see what others come up with this theme. I started the cover inside and out and the first 2 pages. The colors are browns and greens for the cover, with two green leaves in the center (diecuts.) The book is a thin hardbound journal but I'm not sure of the exact dimensions right now.

My idea was to put in earth/nature related poetry, images, colors, words, whatever I happened to find. I tend to get bored of a certain thing after a bit and figured this would happen if I completed it all myself. The thing was, I wanted to have it to flip through in the future when I'm nature deprived...

Anyone interested in this? I would need to limit it to 5 people because the journal is thin. However, I have two more journals waiting to be altered if there's enough of a response. I was thinking of a blue themed book and a president approval rating book (I think i'd be interesting to see what other's opinions are on the president, especially with a fun to make fun of president in office as we speak!)

When I get some responses I'll initialize due dates.

Weee!

I have two signed up, 3 more are needed!! Just pm me with your mailing information to sign up. I have given a week each to work on their pages before sending it to the next person on the list. I figure the book should be back to me by the beginning of May.

A full spread in the book (two pages) measures 8.25" x11"

Will we each send our own book to be altered?  I am confused on how this will work.  Please let me know.  I think I am interested if I get a book back.

I agree. If we each got a completed altered book (done by say six different people) then I would totally be up for it. If that was not your original idea, maybe we could also organise one in this fashion?
