I am away from home for four months on a work project, which means that I have left my sewing machine at home. I attended a class at Material Obsession in Sydney, and the instructor suggested I do some hexagons, using the kaleidascope method. I got hooked! I have now made about 75 or 80 at last count. Here are some photos I took a while ago, showing them all put together:

and a few individual hexies:

I'm afraid a lot of the pics are blurry, from my iPhone camera. But I have had sooooo much fun with this! c & c always welcome!

Awesome! That must have taken quite a bit of work to match the patterns up so perfectly on the material. Love it!

Those are so beautiful! Your colors are so nice together. I love that you were able to find something so nice to do while away from your machine.

Thanks, everyone. I have been amazed at how quickly this has come together. I started it about 8 weeks ago, and only work on it in my spare time ie evenings and weekends. So it hasn't been very difficult or time-consuming. But it has been fun.  Grin

This is gorgeous!  I love the red swirly one just to the upper left of center in the first photo, and the one with red and yellow circles in the upper right corner and the yellow one just below the center of the second photo.  I'm actually surprised that I could pick any individual ones out with all the colors and patterns!

I'm going to have to google "kaleidascope quilt".  I've never quilted before, but this would definately be something to aim for some day... Wink

WHOA, that is incredibly gorgeous! I could stare at it all day! I dream of someday having enough patience to quilt  Cheesy right now I can barely make it through a piece of clothing, end even that takes me days or even weeks of starts and stops! Roll Eyes
