Goose is wanting to jump in.  Will fill out the questionnaire as we can.  He is a dreamer and wants to do the biggest, best, most amazing things.  If only his abilities would co-operate.

Goose sounds like Duck!
Sounds like Thomas too! He's got such an imagination. Not everything that he imagines is possible to achieve. Like getting a digger to fly our house from OH, USA to West Sussex, England so he could live next to his grandmum. It's very sweet but highly unlikely to work that way.

Orgoanisers note: For those of you who have done swaps before You're familiar with keeping in touch on messages boards or via PM. I neglected to type up the level of communication that I would like to see during the swap. I've added it to the initial post. I request that once partners are given that you keep in touch with them either via PM or by posting in this thread roughly once a week or two. (I won't really be keeping track but it would be nice to see)   The only communication that I will require is a response to a check in message that I will send one week before send outs to make sure that you're still around and planning to send.

Hailey came home from school and goes, "Do I have a partner yet?" haha. I had to remind her that no, you won't get a partner until everyone is signed up and that's not for a couple more weeks. She's REALLY eager to get started!

Haha my girls have been asking this also. I wrote it on the calendar and now when they ask I just point them over there. Its good practice for them to look up dates on the calendar and read the written appts.  Wink

They're super excited though.

If the kids are eager to get started why not let them make cards and ornaments. If they make more than one card you could always save them to give to a teacher or relative, ditto for the ornaments. It would be a good way to test out ideas and work through them. The only downside is it's a bit early to start thinking about christmas.

Thats not a bad idea, but I thought our ornaments were supposed to be based on the partners preferences....am I wrong?

You're not wrong. The original post is unclear. I was just going with what had been discussed in the new swap idea theme thread for this swap. I guess it's open to interpretation at the moment. I had thought the the ornaments could just be an ornament for the christmas tree.

Another thought could you make an ornament and then when you have partner's info add to it an image of a favorite character or thing or add their name to it?

What does everyone else think?

Lets discuss this and reach a consensus then I will clarify the original post.

I know we are wrapped up in crafting for our Halloween party decor right now, so we won't be starting on ornaments until later on after we find out partners. I had figured that the boys could decide when they get their partners info what kind of ornament we were going to work on.

If the Duck and I join(which in all likelyhood is we will), we'll be working on the ornament, not just buying one.  And we'll likely make it to suit our partner.  But, if others have the time to work on a bunch of ornaments, then choose one that best suits their partner , I don't see a problem with it Smiley  And am I right in saying the ornament doesn't have to be made, but can be bought, along with the card?
