I've been collecting jars for several months because I had an idea to make a ton of luminaries with them. I ended up getting inspired to use a few of them for Halloween and this is what I did with them!

I pretty much just covered jars with mod podge and tissue paper and then cut out the shapes from black construction paper. And I had to throw in some glitter because everything is better with glitter! Cheesy

I have a tutorial on my blog if you'd like to make some yourself: http://www.gleefulthings.com/blog/?p=2668

This is great.  Thanks for sharing. We've been collecting jar for our 4H group for this project.  It is better than the paper bag ones, paper and a flame are not the best of friends.

I thought about doing some 'scarier' ones with bats & ghosts but I'm having a party with my friends & their little kids, so I'm sticking with more of a pumpkins & black cats theme than anything too spooky.

So wonderful.. The only problem I had trying to do this for Halloween was not being able to find orange tissue paper ANYWHERE!
However, this has led me to another great idea... So thank-you for the inspiration and I will post pics when I have finished a few of my own!

EDIT: Here is what I did with this idea, as soon as I get a hold of more relish jars I'll be making these suckers year-round!
1. Lego Witch
2. Grave Sunset
