So, this is the first time I'm brave enough to show some photos of something i sew!

I used a pattern, Kwiksew 3718, very easy, and some cheap denim fabric (next time I'll spend a bit more on the fabric, it is a little bit stiff and does not really drape at all).

I'm quite happy how it turned out, BUT it looked a bit boring, even for ME and usually I do normally wear more the plain kind of clothes.

So i decorated it with two jellyfish! I used Pebeo Setacolour Pearl, it is slightly shimmery and that is why the photos look a bit odd, my legs are not really THAT pale altho I really got hardly any sun this summer. I used freezer-paper stencils for the bigger parts and just a fine brush for the thinner tentacles. It was the first time I painted on fabric and used stencils and so on, and apart from a few little blotches it turned out not too bad I think.

here are the photos, i hope they are not too big to be posted.

Thanks for looking

Oh those jellyfish are great!  I pet you get plenty of nice comments when you wear it.  I wonder if maybe the fabric will soften up after it's been washed a few times...

You sold me on the first jellyfish picture, but it looks even better as a whole with the rest of the dress! It looks great!

I would love to do a personal swap for stuff for my lonely, empty walls!
