gah! really?!  right now?!  humhum.....  it's going to be hard to resist.... so much for not getting sucked back into swap land....Roll Eyes
Question!  Would anyone be interested in some hand washed un-carded BFL locks?  they have a bit of grease left in them, but are super clean.  Also they can be dyed to what ever color preference my partner has (if I sign up Wink Tongue )

I would be!!! ^_^ Plus, I've been wanting to swap with you for a LONG while!!
hah, yeah, no kidding!! How long have we been thinking of swapping? like 2 years?  Cheesy

lol Yea.... something like ^_^

This is so tempting Smiley So, how would the roving be done? Buy the roving after receiving partners?

Well, I suppose if you have a stash of roving that'd be fine but you want to make sure you get the colors your partner likes so it'd be best to wait.

I'm tentatively interested in this swap, but I've never done a swap before and I'm not exactly sure how this all works. I also don't have a scale and I tend to buy fiber by the pound. I don't have the slightest clue how to figure out what 4 ounces would be.

Well, first off 1 pound = 16 ounces. So cut it in half = 8 ounces. Cut that in half = 4 ounces. Cut that in half = 2 ounces. I mean it wouldnt be as accurate as having a scale, but it would work.
Second, what would you like to know about swapping? I have no problem answering any of your questions!

I went through the FAQ and It mostly answered my questions. I see that there would be an option for handdyed roving, so yeah, I'll go ahead and get my questionnaire filled out.

So I've never done any spinning of any sort but I'm really interested in getting started. Would this be the place to start? I don't want anyone to feel like they've been stuck with a noob.

I'm thinking this would be a good place to start.  So long as you were paired with someone who could either build you a spindle.  And if you need advice on where to buy roving or fiber, we'd all send you in the right direction Smiley
