Need help sewing top - where does the hole to turn it go?

The fact that I have to ask this question probably means I have no business attempting what I am at this point, but it's too late to turn back now. I'm making a satin top that is lined with cotton. No sleeves, but there are straps. There is also a ruffle coming out of the bottom. I am attaching a sketch to hopefully explain better.

Okay, now my problem is that I have no background in sewing garments and for some reason just can't wrap my head around this. I don't know where to leave a gap in the seams to turn it right side out. I've tried it 3 different places and keep ending up with bizarre tubes that aren't even close to right. The closest idea I've come up with so far is to sew the satin and cotton into their respective tubes, then sew the tubes together at the bottom to sandwich the ruffle and then I'd have to leave the entire top open and...uh, I guess hand stitch it after that? Is that right?

There might be a different way (I'm curious myself if there is...), but sewing one side then hand stitching the other like you explained would work - except I would machine stitch the top edge to sandwich the straps, flip, and hand sew to the ruffle (which I would machine sew to the outside fabric first). The ruffle will keep any hand stitching from showing on the outside if it's wonky anywhere.

Sew the top edge together. catching the straps into the seam. with the lining and main fabric right sides together, then turn it right side out. (the wrong side of the fabrics will then face each other)  Then attach the ruffle to the outer fabric along the lower edge of the bodice (Right sides together) then press the gathers toward the bodice so they will be caught inside the lining then turn the lining edge to the inside of the bodice and hand sew it in place.  This way no stitches show on the outside.

You almost have it!  Leave the opening on one of the side seams of the lining...

I would:

1. Sew the outside tube together at both sides.

2. Sew the lining tube on one side; then go down about 3 inches at the top, leave a gap, sew down to the bottom.
You now have two tubes, one with a gap at the side.

3. Pin the  raw edge of the ruffle to the outside tube "upside down"; baste

4. Pin the raw edge of the straps to the outside tube, once on the front of the tube and once at the back of the tube. baste

5. Turn the lining tube inside out and slip over the outside tube so that the right sides are together...make sure the straps are inside and the ruffle is inside.

6. Sew the top and bottom of the tube all around.

7.  Push the outside through the gap you made in the lining tube...hand stitch or machine stitch the little opening shut.  I am not a fan of a lot of hand stitching

This is how I do my bags and purses as well, except that the bottom is sewn shut...
