This is my very first attempt at making challah in the round braided style used for Rosh Hashanah.

It was a lot less complicated to braid than I'd feared, and it turned out all deliciousness! This is a good thing, because the first time I ever tried making challah itself, it kinda turned out more like a braided brick and scared me off bread-making for a while.  Embarrassed

The recipe I used was from the New Good Housekeeping Cookbook-- it was pretty simple to follow. The directions for how to braid I got from here.





It's...already half gone. Not starting off the new year with much willpower....
