First, some ideas and thoughts. The colorscheme of the appartment is black, white and purple.

During the renovation of our new flat, this stool was mistreated, abused, cut, beaten, stood on, sat on, thrown around It was there when we took over the apartment and we were planning on throwing it away when we finished.

I felt, however, that I could save it!
I bought a cheap (!) pillow from a supermarket and sacrificed it (I know, the furniture suffering will not end!) I then chopped up a shower curtain (sorry guys) and used it to upholster the seat. Why not fabric? Because I am a sadistic, penniless student.

If someone is planning on doing something like this, I recommend taking the seat off first. I couldnt with this one as it was glued together and already a bit wonky.

I then tried to cover a button with the fabric. As you can see I sowed pleats on the side of the seat because it is transparent, so I had to do something like that to the button. Turns out toiletpaper hides any color! So I glued toiletpaper on, then fabric
(sshhhh! It will be our secret!)

I dont have a stable gun so I used small nails to make the fabric stay put.

Well? Worth the effort? Still trash?
