this is a doll of mal reynolds from firefly I made for my girlfriend last christmas. He's made mostly out of cut up t-shirts (couldn't find a fabric shop) with felt for the boots, hair and braces.
If you're wondering why he's looking off to the side its because i sewed the head on really badly Tongue
Was pretty happy with him considering he was my first plush.
As I'm new to this whole crafster game can only give a link to the photo sorry guys. As soon as I can I'll get some better quality shots up.

*UPDATE*

Right heres some proper pics of him sorry about the quality my cameras a bit rubbish.

Here he is in his coat:

a close up of the holster (need to make a gun for him at some point):

And here he is in his shirt. The sleeves roll down but its far too much effort to get them to look right after  Tongue

And finally heres a close up of the face. was pretty happy with the shirt collar but the one of the jacket ended up a bit weird. Something to work on for mal 2.0.

Next: the man they call jayne!

That's awesome! It looks super detailed - I'd like to see some brighter, clearer shots when you have time. Smiley

well you did a great job for your first time, I knew who it was just from the thumbnail. I like that he's looking off to the side, gives him more character.

"I love my Captain."

Seriously cute.

This may just inspire my own Serenity Crew.

Because I don't have enough projects.

It is so cool to see all the fans of Firefly making all these cool poppets! The out fit is so cute, what a great way to upcycle some old T-shirts.

I love Nathan Filion! I think it would be way awesome to make a Richard Castel poppet. Might have to give it a go one day....
