So I recently got a new sewing machine (yay!) and it's been full steam ahead ever since! I got this great flannel with the turtles for my soon-to-be-born nephew (as in at this very moment he is about 8 days overdue). And bcz I bought the end of the bolt as a remnant, I had just the right amount left over that I freehanded a crescent shaped pillow for his tummy time (something my son notoriously hated but probably would've liked more if I'd had a pillow like this for him).

And check out these perfect corners! My machine automatically stops sewing with the needle in the down position, making these a breeze!

Love the turtles! And what a great idea with the extra for the tummy pillow... So I have to know what kind was the new machine?!

It's a Brother CE5500 Project Runway Limited Edition! I was so used to my icky old one that when I started sewing with this one, I had completely forgotten how smooth it was supposed to be!

Love!!! and Super Love!! Flannel is my fave baby fabric these days. Now if I was 8 days overdue and NOT still an uncomfortable month away from my due date.. I would hope these were for me! My Baby Boy theme is Sea Turtles.

I sometimes dream of glorious fabrics only to wake, run to to my stash, and realize it's time for a trip to the fabric store...
