Recipe Swap 2 ~Sendouts Oct. 19~

I haven't filled out my questionnaire, but I do plan to sign up soon. 

Since this semester is hitting me so hard, I'd love a few make-ahead recipes.  Something that I could make a big batch of, then put into smaller aluminum pans, and freeze until ready to use.  (After all, it's just DH and I, so we don't need a giant pan of mac & cheese, but smaller pans that could be pulled out and tossed in the oven on a week night would be awesome.

I love those too! I make a lot of things that can be cooked in a big batch, and then half of it frozen to be reheated for quick suppers. Casseroles, soups, stews. Actually, most of this summer we ate leftovers from the freezer and fresh veggies and did very little cooking.

I bought a new cookbook yesterday that prompted me to sign up for this swap, so I'm very excited. I'll be so happy to get some new recipe's and share some of my own and some of my old family recipe's.

Sent my questionnaire in, hope I don't get turned away for being anti-crockpot!    I can't help it, I can't leave things running when I'm gone.  I never leave the dishwasher or washer and dryer running either.  I would be a giant ball of stress all day!

Now to try to think about what recipes I might send...

That's so me! I have fears that I've left the coffee maker on when I leave for school in the morning. I finally just got one that has a two hour shut off switch. The problem I have with the crockpot is that it gets so hot that I'm afraid something will happen if I'm away.

This sounds deceptively easy... but I still am working on two swaps (Cryptozoology and HOGWARTS!   ) so I should wait until I have those done before I sign up... luckily, they're both due before the deadline...  I LOVE weird recipes, though - bacon cookies, sauerkraut cookies, tomato soup cookies... I'm seeing a theme in my recipes...

Sauerkraut cookies? How are those?
