I have seen some attempts at recycling old cd's and Dvd's into wreaths, but I have yet to see one like mine.  I thought i would share my creation

I added texture by cutting up a couple more dvds like confetti and glued on randomly all over.
With keeping in the metallic theme of this wreath, i found an indoor/outdoor plastic bow with metalic red ribbon.  It adds a nice contrast.

The wreath took 36 discs.  it is double sided to add strength.

This is my very first shared post and hope you all like it

A very techy wreath and the confetti makes it quite unusual.

Great idea! I want to make one now too. What did you use for the backing?

Its completely out of old discs.  i used a round serving platter as a guide.  I laid down 9 discs, spaced them so the layer on top would show line up exposing the holes and clear area of the previous row..and i flipped it over and did the same on the other side.  that way i can hang in a window and have a complete back side to show off  I added the cut up bits to make confetti to help break up the light so it would add more texture and dimension when the light hit it ( and any imperfections in the discs such as scratches)

That is really fun -- I love all the colors that the CDs pick up from the light. Great first post croknitcat! Grin Welcome to Craftster!
