Just wanted to share my beautiful little swap item!  Unfortunately, I only have my cell phone for camera purposes, so the pictures aren't stellar.

Here is the little package I received in the mail, all tied up with a lovely black and gray ribbon:

It was a tiny altered (Altoids?) tin, wrapped up in a note!

The note reads as follows:
To the Bearer of this letter,
In your hands you hold a Fairey Secret. One of the most Powerful secrets in the whole Fairey Kingdom.
Let me ask you a question. How does Fairey Dust come to be?
If you do not wish to carry the burden of this secret then read no further...
Many Tales have been told of this. The truth is a little less Fairey Tale.
But it is the cycle of Life as the Fae know it.
Blame not the Fae. Nor judge them. For they are a practical people.
Here is the Tale I pass on to you. Some believe Dust is produced by the Fae themselves. This is true, in a way. It's not produced by a Tree or Apple Blossoms or a Wish. It simply is Dust. When the Fae no longer have use for their bodies they leave them behind. The Magic happens when these start to mature and become Dust. This is the Secret.
So, when you sprinkle this do so with care. You are using what the Fairies left behind.

Delightfully spooky backstory.  I will never look at Tinkerbell in quite the same way again.

Here is a close up on the tin, which is decorated with a few lines of delicate chain and a Fae skull with red string bow:

And the tin slides open to reveal some Genuine Fairey Dust!

Complete with little bits of wing and such.  After all, it isn't as though the whole body would all turn to dust at the same rate.

I love how much detail you put into the story, and the details on the tin are just perfect.  It is going up in a spot on our Shelf of Creepiness.  Grin

Biting's excellent. It's like kissing, but there's a winner!

Wow! I love it! The story is absolutely awesome and I love that there are still bits in the dust...
