I made this little guy for the "one tiny stuffie"-swap and I thought I'd share it here too. It's made without a pattern, starting with the shell.

Naturally I had to crochet a tiny critter to fit it, and the end result is a cute turtle with removable shell.

Naked time!

Here's a belly shot to show what I did there. It's crocheted in one loop only to give the ridges.

I used Hjerte Blend/Tendens (cotton/acrylic) for the greens and I think a pure cotton yarn for the brown. I'm not sure about that brand since it was leftovers from another project made from leftovers Tongue I think I used a 3 mm or 3,5 mm hook, but the tail was crocheted with a 2,5 mm hook since I misplaced my first one. So truly freeform, but I like the end result and my swap partner seemed happy too!

Aw... I have no defenses against the cuteness of sea turtles. He's so cute and tiny!
