That little orange guy is really cute - what cute little buttons on his shirt too - lots of personality in this one!!  Great package, julieboolie - those candy corns are sweet!   Cheesy

I received my cute li'l critter this afternoon from AmyMarie78.  The little extra was a hand carved rose stamp.  Now I'll have to start taking up stamping.  It's too pretty not to use.  The closest I came to stamping was when I was very young I believe I did something with pieces of linoleum to print something.  I probably won't be able to get my picture posted until Sunday so AmyMarie, if you'd like feel free to post yours if you have one.  Thanks for a lovely swap.

From our fearless leader, Leslieshappyheart, I received a spectacularly crafted critter, who arrived in another spectacularly crafted item, as well as some spectacularly delightful extras.

First I opened the red bag marked "extras" and found TWO giant bars of Godiva chocolate, a piece of fabric with a swirling school of fish print, and a light up crochet hook:

A better view of the fabric:

The hook in light-activated mode:

Then the red tissue paper wrapped grande surprise Ollie the Mystery Critter Turtle:

Everything is so meticulously designed and sewn, from the pebbly looking fabric of the soft parts of his body to the veining of the leaf on his head!  Leslie even replicated the nostrils and downward slope and shape of a turtles mouth.  The shell is beautifully executed in wool felt (I think), the plates pieced on the top and stitched underneath:

He came with a polymer clay traveling companion who sits on a veined leaf perched atop his head (the snail's shell is just a smidge larger than a dime):

AND Ollie travelled in luxury and comfort nestled in his very own basket of shells:

Thank you so much, LeslieHH, for such a thoughtful, perfectly crafted, generous package of crittery no-longer-mystery!

I saw Ollie in Leslie's other post and he is fantastic. His shell is awesome and that shell tote bag is such a great vehicle for traveling!

Waterbaby, those are some awesome pictures you took! I'm so glad you liked everything, especially Ollie.  I like him too.  Yes, the shell is wool felt.

Here's the critter you didn't get:  Merry the Mermaid.  As Smmarrt mentioned, I posted pictures of them yesterday on the Toys board, here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=391825.0  Since there are so many pictures there, I will just post one here:

Her tail is removable because I wanted to stay "true" to the pattern, so I had to give her legs! (There's a good picture of that in the other post).  With Ollie, in order not to change the pattern, I sewed him with ears, but left them unstuffed and sewed them flat against the back of his head!  I know it looks funny, and when I got to that part of the sewing, I REALLY wished I had told everyone they could make small changes in the pattern--but since I hadn't, I didn't make changes myself.

Theyre both insanely well made and a total transformation of the pattern.
The turtle is so unique, not a goofy sort of turtle plush. Its, well, like serious plush! Plenty of room in the tote for him!
