how cute is that birdwatcher?!
I love the fabric--I love the very different front/back of it. The hat and the bird slay me! mamarose22--you are right. it is remarkably FULL of facial expression. Somehow, I don't know, it reminds me of Diane Keaton in Annie Hall!
I see that Diane Keaton likeness too!  Cool.  Cool

I love how the button eyes seem to be smack in the center of a flower giving such a cute expression to her/him.

The eyes ARE smack in the center of flowers, for that very purpose!

Okay, now I HAVE seen it all!  That Birdwatcher Critter is phenomenal!  I like every bit of it - the bird and the hat are perfect - how cute!!  Hats off to you, Waterbaby!  You're genius!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Aw shucks and thanks so much to you all -- I’ve never gotten such wonderful comments before!  And Annie Hall, eh?  Hmmm...the wide eyes, the brimmed hat…well la di da, I see it now, too!

Unfortunately, the personal gift I made for Leslieshappyheart sneakily decided to stick around a few days longer and managed to avoid getting into the package I sent.  Leslie received her package today and I discovered the missing malingerer soon after she'd let me know.  She's asked me to post pictures, and here they are:

Front:                                                                   Back:

It’s a polymer clay pendant inspired by (though pretty different in design from) one of Leslie’s etsy favorites, and will be on it's way to Leslie as soon as I can get to the post office on Saturday.

Speaking of THIS ROCKS - I went back and hit THIS ROCKS for the Gnomey Don Draper pouch my partner, Silentblair, made for me.  I took my pouch with me today to the block-of-the-month meeting at my quilt shop today - I showed everyone - and they all thought it was so-o cool.  I'm so proud and grateful it is mine!  Thanks again, Silentblair.
