This is going to be my first knitted garment. I have the yarn and pattern but won't be starting for a few weeks since I have to finish up some of my other projects. Just thought I'd post it here to see if anyone wanted to join me. You don't have to knit this particular tunic but any knitted sweater. Just thought that support and encouragement while knitting a sweater would be appreciated.

Here's the link to the burnside tunic I'll be knitting:

I look forward to knitting with you Smiley

I think once I have the money, I'm going to have to make this. It's utterly gorgeous. I'll definitely going to have to keep my eye on this. Might start late, but I'll join in for a KAL.

"You listen to metal and knit?"
"Yea, so?"
"I don't know, just seems a little out of the ordinary"
"Who said I was ordinary?"

I'm Ilianora on Ravelry. I won't be starting this for a few weeks and it's not like the thread will go away so just send a message when you start. I'm just about finished my loch ness monster and then I have a pair of socks to finish before I'm letting myself start this but I love this sweater and have had it in my queue for over a year now. Can't wait to knit my first sweater!

Finished my gauge swatch and it looked right when I was really sleep last night. It seems like it would be a quick knit because of the massive needles (I'm used to knitting socks and aim's the biggest I normally use is a 3.75mm) Going to do a double check and possibly cast on tonight. Who's with me!?!

I'm on my 5th pattern repeat. I can't knit for very long because the alpaca is a bit starchy since I'm knitting tighter than normal but I'm really enjoying the pattern!

I'm starting my third sweater soon and would love to join in the fun!  I may make this actual pattern sometime in the future, it's beautiful! This also looks like a great pattern for a first sweater; plenty of variation to keep in interesting and seemingly easy-to-fit.  Good choice!

I am a product-oriented crafter and spend a lot of time on my items (believe it or not!)  I am interested in personal swaps with folks who have common interests and standards.  I love textiles, texture, and rugged-meets-vintage-meets-luxe.
