Yes, sherbet is what that yarn makes me think of, too. Yum!

I know it's not Friday anymore, but I finished a challenge yarn with stuff in my house. It's pretty far removed from my leather yarn idea. Yes, I do have A.D.D., and I just roll with it. Cheesy
This is 2 plies of Z-spun curling ribbon plied together with clumps of shredded mylar (the kind used in gift bags). Ian helped by handing me the mylar as I plied. I think this is tail spinning, sort of.  Cheesy This was done outside. Messy, messy fun! I think I might try making some more of this with commercial yarn, so it won't be as stiff as the ribbon. Then I can use it as a garland. We can't have it anywhere our cats can reach it though. Tinsel and Easter grass type stuff are potentially deadly if cats swallow them.

I will still try a thrift shop yarn. This was a bad week for getting out and doing shopping. We can make more than one yarn, so maybe I still will make a leather yarn...

That would be an encasement yarn!  I'm planning to spin an encasement yarn with feathers one day.   But I do love your shiny sparkly wonderful un-yarn!
