These are two of my colorful pillows with application. They are made of different pieces of scraps, curtains, tablecloths, tapestry and ribbons. As a finish, I appliqued a bird sitting on a branch on each of them.

Those are striking!  Are the birds machine appliqued?

Thanks a lot Smiley
Didn't really know how to use the mexican lady when I first got her. But she turned out to be one of my favourite motives, and used for several projects.

Those are striking!  Are the birds machine appliqued?

Thanks Smiley
First i fastened the birds with some fusible web and then I sewed around them with regular stitches.

yes, I love her but haven't found just the right project yet.
I forgot to say I love the use of tapestry too, I often see unloved tapestries at the op shop and wonder how I could use them.

Amazing! These would be a fortune if they were being sold at Anthropologie!

Thank you so much for the kind words everyone!

I have never heard about Anthropologie (I'm Norwegian) but someone would have to offer me a substantial amount for me to even think about parting with them. They were a lot more timeconsuming than they might seem Smiley
