I've started a new series, known as 'Koi'n purses, which are purses, bags, clutches, and totes inspired by koi fish.

I'll be creating as much as possible.

Here is the first one in the series, known as "Sanke"

and progress shots...

I love this! What a cool idea to make it look like koi scales. NICE!

This is soo pretty! I knew it was koi fish inspired by the thumbnail.

One of the things I really like about Hawaii is all the koi fish ponds scattered everywhere. Some of the patterns on the fish make them look like paintings in the water.

Oh my gosh, that is ingenious! Love the finished result! I tried the crocodile scales, but it never occurred to me they could be fishy Tongue

Lovely work.  The fish scales are so like the real ones.  What a nice idea.  I am sure it will do well.

It is really just a crocodile stitch in my own pattern. This is the link to ONE way to do the crocodile stitch if anyone is interested, there are other ways to complete this stitch

This is awesome! Thanks for introducing the crocodile stitch (need to learn this), and the koi theme you do with it is so beautiful!
