Hi,

I need help with this dress - can someone tell me how the jersey fabric was cut/manipulated to with blend with the lace? I was told the process is called "encrusting the lace" - is a top stitch done around the outline? Thanks for any help!

To me it looks like the lace was sewn either behind or on top of the fabric (I can't tell from the photos) and then the fabric very carefully cut away from behind or on top of the lace.  If you think it is top-stitched I think that's probably right.   Smiley

Here's a tutorial about putting lace inserts in lingerie which might offer some clues:  http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/4210/create-couture-lingerie
