I made this stuff for my brother's upcoming birthday.  First, a record cup, good for holding pens and/or toothbrushes.

Also, a flat tin (actually an old AOL CD tin) painted and covered with a Taylor wine ad from an old Life magazine I have (our last name is Taylor).  It's filled with homemade magnetic poetry.

Hopefully he'll like this stuff and not think that I'm crazy!   Shocked

I love your projects. I especially like the tin. It came out really good with the wine graphic. AOL never sends me any tins, although they send me everything else >__<

Crafty, baby! <3

Well, I pretty much took the record bowl idea (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=30667.0) and ran with it.  I put the record in the oven on top of a drinking glass instead of a bowl.  I let it get all droopy, and then I pushed it all down around the glass and held it there until it cooled (using pot holders, of course).  It was super easy, and I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out.
