About 2 months on and off.  It actually went surprisingly quickly once I got past the yoke.  I just went round and round until I ran out of thread.

Great thing about it is you could change the color of the slip underneath to alter the look of it. But I LOVE the yellow!

What a beautiful dress! Jo-Ann Fabrics had some 340/400g cotton yarn on clearance ($4.98 a skein) & I couldn't think of what I could use it for, so I didn't buy any. This is such an inspiration, I think I'm going back and grabbing some to try my own dress! Thanks, elderflower!

You have my admiration! I don't crochet, so I can't even imagine the work this took.  Sometimes I see crocheted clothing on hangers and think "those stitches are pretty, but that probably wouldn't look good on a person.." NOT the case here! You did a fantastic job of designing something superflattering and gorgeous! Wear it with pride!
