Then this swap would be for you!

The challenge of this swap is to fill one of the small priority mail flat rate boxes from the US post office to the brim with Halloween goodies. How much can you send for $4.95? Whatever fits in the box! At least one item needs to be crafted, and at least 50% of the box needs to be Halloween related. I want this to be an easy, relaxed, and fun swap.

Unfortunately I have to restrict this swap to swappers than live in the US since you have to be able to fill a usps priority flat rate box.

This will be considered a 2 point swap.


Reminder of point sizes:
•  Large-3 points: 3 hours or more; $30 or more in supply value, shawl, shirt, project tote, apron, set of pillowcases, set of tea towels, large stuffie

•  Medium-2 points: 2 hours but no more than 3 hours to complete, $15-$30 in supply value, necklace, belt, bracelet, scarf, deluxe pincushion

•  Small-1 point: at least 1 hour but no more than 2 hours to complete, $5-$15 in supply value, pouch, stickers, earrings, bookmark

Hi!  I'm excited about this swap and was just checking to see the size of the box so I know what I'd be signing up for.  The USPS site doesn't seem to have any $4.95 boxes, only padded and legal size envelopes - the small flat rate box is $5.00.  Could you confirm which one of these we'd be filling  https://www.prioritymail.com/flatrates.asp?  I'm 99.99999% sure that I'm signing up (filling out my questionnaire already, actually), but wanted to be sure I know the expectations

The box we are using is the small flat rate priority box from usps.
Hmmm...I wonder if there was a recent price hike? I could have swore the box I sent last month was $4.95. I'll double check on the price to make sure we are all using the same box. Hope to see you sign up!

Oooh I start October 1st! As soon as the kids are off to school I begin the decorating! This year I'm doing starched cheesecloth ghosts hanging from porch, and homemade tombstones for the yard. Also Im making a wreath that martha stewart did a few years ago where you put rubber snakes in a wicker wreath and spray paint it black. My kids draw bats every year on poster board and we cut them out and hang them from the porch as well. Ofcourse I do the spider webs and ripped up cheesecloth everywhere too, and this year I'm adding blood stains to my cheesecloth! Oh and me and my kids make milk jug ghosts and put them over the pathway lights so they glow at night. Whew that was a lot, but it is my fave subject, plus I'm sure theres a ton I left out!
