Oh no - don't pull the Buddha - art is suppose to engage people, and evoke thought and emotion.  I was not offended, - it just brought up those creepy Mom guilt feelings, and I also know some people who probably would have loved him too (Mom may smack me one but my bestie Bob is both a fan of zombies, and cool, unusual art pieces - if I won Buddha, Bob would have a new piece to put in his "hookah room").

But on saying that, I do love the hoop piece.

I have to admit I was afraid Zombie Buddha might come to life and eat my brains while I slept...maybe I should lay off the horror movies.  Have you seen "Trilogy of Terror" when that little African tiki-type doll attacks his owner?  That darn thing has been haunting me since childhood.  Sad

I have happy associations with trees, so we're safe with the hoop.

Wahoo! I finally just sent in my questionnaire. There are so many things I love, too many to list, but some on the top of my head are, the tree hoop, the stenciled bag, the fingerless mittens. Everything is so great. Here's what I would like to offer. I hope people like it. A quilted tote.

awwww..... thanks so much you guys!! and buddha isn't pulled-pulled, he's more like.... on call.  i really do like the buddha and appreciate that he's gotten so many folks talking! however, it seemed overall that the general consensus was "he's really cool! just not....me." and, well.... i just didn't want to put something into the pool that the majority of folks wouldn't be able to use for themselves.... so, i thought ~ what can i make that more folks will be into?  and i got to hunting thru my stash and found those green flower buttons and said to myself, we-ell.... i have totally been meaning to try a button tree for a long time!! and i'm totally stoked about the bright color scheme which really sort of came together on its own! soooo ~ button tree it is! and, like i said, if anybody wins the button tree and wishes they had buddha instead, we'll just switch them out!  Grin

Like the quilted tote a lot.  As a bag-a-holic it is odd that I don't have a quilted one yet. hmmm..  Love the paisley & dots!

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.
