i'm still planning on hopping into this raffle, but still trying to figure out what to make.  i've been in a painting mood lately, but what to paint when you don't know who it's for?  i'm thinking a colorful tree painting or a set of painted alphabet rocks?  i also have some paper mache skulls i am painting as sugar skulls for halloween?  ack!

It is really difficult to choose my best, so I decided to use everything I know. Everything so far is wonderful, lovely swap.

I made this for another swap recently, and made a few extra. Would anyone be interested in a knitted mandrake? They are funky little creatures from Harry Potter - just in case someone hasn't seen the movies Wink

Omg!  That mandrake is AWESOME!!!!  I'm a huge HP fan!

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

I'm just waiting on the go ahead to post pics of my offering.  It's squishy, super soft, and bright!

Such great ideas and offerings so far, what a wonderful variety for a swap!   I kept my idea on the downlow and didn't get feedback on it before I made it, so I'm hoping it will go over well.  I figured I'm known here on Craftster most for my embroidery and since we're all Friends of Craftster I went for a Craftster theme when I created my prize...

The retro graphics on Craftster are from a book that I've had since I was a child, The Bookshelf for Boys and Girls: Things to Make and Things to Do.  I was able to use the original illustration for my pattern and stuck with the original blue from the book.  I painted the blue areas and stitched the black with one or two strands of floss.  The Craftster letters are easier to read in person, some shadows showed up in the photos.

I hope the winner has a little place in their crafting corner for it! Finished size is about 5 1/2" x 9 1/2".
