hi cyndiq, i try using the cd cleaner but STILL the sticky thing left on the microslide glass (i can see on the glass) and the soldered part as well esp the on the latter which really sticky.

i try to use teeny weeny bit of flux and even try w/o flux and it seem that the sticky thing is from the copper tape and not flux.

i even try using zippo lighter fluid that my friend say it work on cleaning sticky thing on glass. it is less sticky but still there.

anyone out there solve this problem?  Cry

My craft supply philosophy I stole from a line from AVP. ''I'd rather have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.'' But, they were talking about a condom. Tongue

Hi,

Love your necklaces.  I started one the other day however I have a question about the copper foil tape.  Is there different widths?  The tape that I have from my stained glass days seems too narrow to use for the double thickness of the microscope slides.  I was really having difficulty taping the edges.

Thanks
Rose

Yes, there are varying widths of copper foil tape. Our local Hobby Lobby usually has only one, but they have places to display more. I know that scrapalatte, the company cited early in this thread http://scrapalatte.net/ now carries more than one width, 5/16" and 1/2" wide, as well as the smaller 1/4" size .

I hadn't soldered in a while b/c I've been too busy doing other crafty projects. But I just finished this two-sided pendant/charm:
