I really love your piece. I was looking at the close up picture and I LOVE the way it looks, I am wanting to make something similar but I don't know how to join squares so flat and seamlessly.

I agree.  it looks really bright and fresh and lovely.  I'm guessing you joined the squares as you made them.  They are so very neat.

Thank you all for the kind comments. I loved making this. Probably because the person I'm giving this to will really appreciate it. To answer the comments. I made all my squares then I joined them all together. to those who want to know how to do this kind of joining. i got the info off of youtube. Here's a link:

Also check out the other videos. I love how she demonstrates. I was able to learn a lot from watching her videos. I plan to learn and make a few other types of granny squares.

Hope this was helpful.

Yesterday I gifted my auntie with her blanket. She was so thrilled. She told me she was taking it to church today to show it off. She had already been bragging about to her friends at church. I'm glad i did this for her. She's 83 years old who knows how much longer she has on this earth. I love when I make something that makes someone happy. Now working on one for my mother with the leftover yarn.
