THANKS FOR POSTING THIS! for a while i'd been thinking about knitting one, and HELL. knitting one would take forever, and that's why i hadn't started.

i just made 2 of yours! a black one and a burgundy one.
my friends are going to be so jealous.

thanks for sharing your genius!

ok, I tried to do that with a long sleeve shirt but its kind of stretchy and also i tried to sew the edges and OMG do NOT try it with stretchy fabric( if you are going to sew the edges) it did NOT work! Angry Cry
so now i screwed up a shirt so i'll probbaly have to chuck it out b/c its hopeless
oh and also it was a bit too wide for me which is also a crappy fact, so i had to make it tighter by resewing the sides and when i was sewing it the edges of the fabric would go all wavy and stretched out. i almost cried  Cry
eek i just don't have the patience to finish it but i think its already ruined and i think i screwed up my sewing machines b/c it started making a clicking sound as i was sewing which was about the same time i gave up. so now my room is a disaster with fabric strewn everywhere and a sad looking shrug that im not finished yet.

can anyone help me!!??

I love the idea!! Even though you didn't have any pics of the finished product, I bet it looks awesome. Now... all I need is to find some rockin' tees to cut up! Thanks for the idea!  Grin

LilMissPink -- Why isn't it a bolero? I'm not very good with the specific names of clothes, so just wondering.  Smiley

Woah... to answer a long unanswered question, it's not a bolero because boleros are rounded and look as if they were made out of a circle. That is more like a cropped sweater. I think I'm going to make one soon, I just spent 10 whole dollars on 2 of them.  Roll Eyes

Everybody likes pink. People who think otherwise are in denial.

I know this is a crazy old topic, but I just made this and it turned a too low cut tshirt into an awesome shrug!
