Having come across what I thought to be the most epic fabric ever made, and having a ball coming up, I did what had to be done.... made a cat in the hat dress Smiley
Unfortunately, the ball was a bit of a flop, being filled with really trashed people, so we left early.
Luckily, the day after, there was a street fair (Rugby World Cup is on town) on, so I got to wear it out to there too! It was a brilliant day out. It got many comments walking around town, and seemed to make people smile, so it was a success!  Smiley

The petticoat has a bit of an odd black underneath because the whole dress was made in two days, so we reused a petticoat from another dress.

Made using these instructions:

Photo time!

Comments and constructive criticisms welcomed Smiley

Love the twirling shot!
I'm happy you got to wear it to two events.
Looks like a really fun dress to wear.  Well done!

Awesome. I wish I could magically open my closet and find this inside. Lovely work, and I'm glad you got to wear it to something fun! A dress this amazing needs to be worn to something great.
