This is a belated birthday present for my friend (I assumed she'd rather have a decent, late version than whatever I might've thrown together in between party set up).

Venus is mostly Sugar 'n Cream yarn's free Lily doll pattern(http://www.sugarncream.com/pattern.php?PID=5023).  I think the biggest change is the glove cuffs (and the fact that I cannot figure out the body pattern).  I made a mermaid doll for my sister's MIL's birthday, which gave me the idea of stitching rows of BLO to make the pleated skirt.  I like that it looks pleated, but I wish it flared a bit more.

For the shoes, I made the feet and legs as written for the linked pattern, then made a chain that fit around the doll's ankles (I could probably cobble together a written pattern, but there'd be a lot of "eye it").

How cuuuute~! I love it, the bow and shape of her arms are nice.

I have a really good pattern for a flared-out, pleated skirt which I use for my Sailor Moon dolls. Do you know how to do frontpost and backpost double crochet?

Thanks, everyone!

@BunnieBard--I don't, but I'm willing to learn!
