If everything's embarassing, you'll never have fun

Okay, so.
My boyfriend's birthday is the 22nd, and he and I are both really into music (and we both play guitar), so for his birthday, I got him Jack Johnson's "In Between Dreams" and I made him a mix tape (I like making tapes more than CDs because the process is more fun, they last longer [mix CDs get scratched so easily!], and they can usually hold more music), and I decided to get creative in wrapping them, too, so I got out a few of my guitar magazines, and...well....

First, I made a card...

Front (the lyrics are the lyrics to the Goo Goo Dolls' cover of Supertramp's "Give A Little Bit"):

(on the top left is a picture of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, on the right is Los Lonely Boys, in the middle(ish) is the cover for Queen's "A Night At The Opera", on the bottom--from left to right--are album covers from the Who, Guns N Roses, Metallica, Nirvana, and ACDC, and the guitar is the Dewey Decibel Flipout--http://www.vintagerock.com/img/upsidedownguitars.jpg)

Inside (the guitar tab for a Velvet Revolver song that I can't remember the name of just now, lol), before I wrote a message on the inside:

And then, to match, I wrapped the CD and tape in the guitar tab for "Give A Little Bit" (the same song that I had the lyrics on the card for) and added a pretty ribbon  Smiley:

All 3 together:

I gave my boyfriend his presents today (because I'm leaving for Connecticut on Sunday, and I won't see him for 3 weeks), and he loved them!
Enjoy  Wink

Using sheet music as wrapping paper is a great idea! And I loved the card too!

Very sweet!  Gifts mean so much more when you put thought and creativity into the presentation like you did.  Isn't making stuff for your boyfriend awesome?  *sigh*

Well, I didn't make a name for the mixtape (I tried to think of one, but I just couldn't come up with one that didn't sound idiotic, lol), but I made a list of all the songs on it and decorated that, and I drew on the tape with tulip paints (I made faces by using the holes as eyes, haha)
